I spent the first weekend in August in Washington, DC, and as expected, this city never disappoints. I go to DC for various reason, and I used this day trip to visit the National Gallery of Art. I left moved by all the color inspiration. Below is a small roundup of some of the things I experienced.
A view of a rotunda inside the National Gallery of Art.
The garden inside the National Museum of Art.
Loved this little doggy, and thought how cool it would be to go to an exhibition of historic artwork that depicts all the dogs.
I was excited by how vibrant the colors were in this painting.
Seeing a Georgia O’Keeffe is always a delight.
++ Andrew Wyeth
It started to rain at some point in the day and I always love the afternoon light in summer storms.
